LM Cohen & Company Founder to Speak at Jewish Communal Fund Charitable Planning Update Webinar

On December 2nd, 2020, LM Cohen & Company’s Founder, Lee M. Cohen, will be speaking at the Jewish Communal Fund’s Charitable Planning Update Webinar. The webinar will be taking place from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm EST.

Mr. Cohen will discuss changes in the tax law that affect charitable giving and will review planning options for charitably inclined clients. He will be joined by the Jewish Communal Fund’s Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Philanthropic Services, Ellen Israelson. Ms. Israelson will offer tips on how to discuss charitable giving with clients and how to maximize both charitable impact and tax deduction.

Lee M. Cohen, CPA is a Managing Partner and Founder of LM Cohen & Company. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He holds a BS in Accounting from New York University. Lee is actively involved in his community by serving as a Trustee and Past President of Sephardic Bikur Holim (SBH).

Ellen Israelson

VP of Philanthropic Services at Jewish Communal Fund

Ellen Smith Israelson is the Vice President of Philanthropic Services & CMO for Jewish Communal Fund where she oversees JCF’s Marketing Group and Client Relations team. Ms. Israelson develops JCF’s innovative philanthropic services including educational forums, webinars, and podcasts. She heads JCF’s Private Client Group, and helps HNW individuals and their families be more intentional in their approach to philanthropy and increase the impact of their giving. For both Private Clients and JCF’s general constituent group, Ms. Israelson helps clients engage the next generation in charitable giving, and she has extensive experience with multi-generational philanthropy. She served on the board of Advisors in Philanthropy (AiP), and is currently a member of NYSSCPAs, and PPGGNY (Philanthropic Planned Giving Group of NY). Prior to joining Jewish Communal Fund, Ms. Israelson served as the Executive Director of the Long Island Chapter of American Jewish Committee.
